I’ve been working on a board game with traditional Chinese culture references for the last 3 weeks, every day after my day job. Writing game rules, making figures, and testing the models with my daughters. I wanted to upload them today for the Chinese New Year competition. However, I just found out that I’ve been banned for a week because I’ve been reported for having multiple print profiles without actual photos.
Those are some work signs I generated (and long forgotten) with MakerLab when it was first available, and the mandatory print photo requirement is not yet implemented. I made them for my work and also to serve the community. If someone needs them, they can print them directly with the profile I generated, complete with colors. It’s a very niche situation, and I don’t earn points with them; they’re just for sharing with people who need a simple 80 x 80 x 3mm work sign, published under the public domain.
Without warning, I’ve been banned, and all my hard work for the last 3 weeks preparing for the Chinese New Year competition is down the drain. I really hope that MW can do some background check on the user before banning them and perhaps also give a warning. I mean, there are many thieves stealing models, uploading only renders without actual prints, being reported, and still repeatedly uploading stolen models. And countless of untested not printed Hueforge models and profiles, I don’t see them stopping. But as an honest user, with a snap, I am banned. I have taken down all those signs now, I just hope that they will accept my appeal, and I still have time to join the competition. @Tanklet @Chloe.Shang
