I’ve been a Reddit member for more than 10 years, as well as myriad other social networks and platforms, but what I love about Reddit over everything else is the ability to downvote, and second, the ability to see all the comments and posts a user has made by visiting that user’s profile.
The reason I mention this is because I’ve just received a 3 star rating for one design by a user who’s profile page is a blank slate, the rating as expected wasn’t accompanied by an image or a comment. How are we to know what’s wrong with such interactions?
I don’t really know the reason why someone would make it their life’s mission to go and rate negatively all over the place, but I’m sure there are people like that. I, In any case if we as users could see the a user’s history I bet we could help BL weed out a bunch of users who only worsen the experience for everyone.
I’m not saying the rating is or isn’t deserved, I’m just saying there could be people just intent on tanking the site.
