A very simple and efficient rule that can be implemented to help clean up makerworld of blatant model stealing/reposting/point farming. Just today I had reported numerous models from an individual user that were all paid for models from many different designers whether it was MatMireMakes,STLflix,Flexi-studio, etc all were simply ripped and reposted to makerworld.
Is it too hard to have a strike system that would simply block users from posting anymore models after they reach 3 strikes of stolen models/no-derivative repostings? These strikes would of course be able to be debated by the user if they genuinly made a mistake and or did in fact have permission to remix a model but it would be very effective in starting to clean up the makerworld community. Once you reach 3 strikes then you are no longer able to post any models whether that be for a set amount of time(1mo., 3mo., 1yr., permanently) is up to the makerworld team but its rather annoying to be a designer in this community with so many pirating of works.
With that said makerworld team would need to distinguish the use of trademark logos compared to regular ripped designed models and if it would fall under fair use and free speach by using brand logos as adding artistc value, expression or new meaning to said logos/likeness but as ar as the most obvious is that being ripped models and reposts cirulating on makerworld.
